At Kindermusik with Lina, I strive to create an environment of fun and learning for both children and adults. My passion is to build magical connections and bonding experiences for families through the joy of music-making. In my classes, everybody will be cared for and nurtured in the presence of warm, familiar friends.
All children are musical. There are no exceptions! As the educator, I am interested in helping children become more in tune with themselves and their surroundings by exposing them to the various sensorial activities so wonderfully offered by Kindermusik. I am a strong believer in the powerful effects of music on human development, which is why I want to help families discover the gift of music and develop a life-long love for it.
As the parent, you are your child’s best teacher! By sharing and bonding with your child at Kindermusik, you are promoting self-confidence, self-discovery and all sorts of healthy things! By guiding them through this wonderful learning experience, you are also creating beautiful memories that you will cherish for a lifetime. You are a huge factor in making this experience magical!
Kindermusik and the Whole Child
Kindermusik is designed to focus on the total growth of your developing child. Through its carefully designed and developmentally appropriate curricula, Kindermusik fosters growth in the physical, cognitive, emotional and social areas of your child. It is also proven to positively influence a child’s language and literacy skills among others needed for school!
The Social Aspect of a Kindermusik Class
One of the main goals of Kindermusik is to foster parent-child bonding. A Kindermusik classroom is the perfect place to meet, socialize and form life-long friendships with new families!
Our happy, healthy classroom
Let’s all work to keep our classroom happy and healthy! Here are a few things to take note of:
-A bathroom is available for diaper changes, and our classroom is nursing friendly!
-All instruments and materials are cleaned and sterilized for your protection
-If you or your child are ill, please be considerate of other families by not attending. You and/or your child should be fever-free for at least 24 hours and have no contagious characteristics (rash, drainage, etc.). Opportunities for make-up classes will be available, so get well!
It sometimes happens that un-enrolled brothers and sisters will want to come to class because of a change in your schedule. It can be arranged if you let me know ahead of time. Infant siblings are welcome to attend Wiggle and Grow classes in a car seat, carrier, or bouncer. You will need to be fully available to participate with your child! When siblings start walking, they can be enrolled at a sibling discount! The whole family is welcome to attend Sharing Time for Laugh and Learn. Older siblings should be over 6 years old to be able to attend Kindermusik Cuddle and Bounce. This is for the safety of our babies, and the peace of mind of other parents!
Classes will be re-scheduled if a family member or myself are ill or due to inclement weather. Unfortunately, absences cannot be compensated so it is a great idea to create a Kindermusik routine for your child, not only will that help you become more punctual in your attendance, but research shows that the longevity of an ongoing Kindermusik experience is how you can most benefit your child’s development. If you need ideas on how to establish a routine, I would love to help!
A free trial is available. If you decide to enroll, payments for the unit should be made before your starting date. Payments can be made in cash, cheque or a bank transfer. For more details, please get in touch.
Getting the Most out of Your Kindermusik Experience
I STRONGLY encourage you to make use of the digital at home materials made available to you when you enroll. Not only will this extend the musical experience into your home, but it will also enrich your classroom experience. By listening to the unit album, watching the videos and enjoying the games available in the home materials, you are enhancing your child’s knowledge of the program as well as allowing other caregivers and siblings to be part of the fun too! Kindermusik classes and home materials go hand in hand, so make sure to get the most out of your experience!
It is my job to meet your expectations. If you are not completely satisfied with your Kindermusik experience, please let me know!
